A mediumship cabinet was an enclosed space—often curtained—used during séances to isolate the medium. From within the cabinet, mediums claimed spirits could manifest through sounds, movement, or materialized forms. Cabinets became central to physical mediumship and were frequently examined by both believers and investigators.
